Washington, D.C. and our rendition of Tom Sawyer
Welcome to my second post: The captain is ready so buckle your seatbelts and hang on for the ride! :)
Two weeks ago I met my family outside our nation's capital and spent a day with them touring the city. We were on the way to Farmville, VA to celebrate Bethy's wedding and couldn't resist taking some time off in D.C. it had been years since we were last there..in fact, I believe I was still on school! :) Twas all tons of fun! Lots of laughter, memories and sun-bathing in the open-air tour buses.
the only disappointment of the weekend was that my "other half" was not along. strange how single-hood wasn't quite the same as before... ;)
my amazing parents! separation really makes someone like me realize how much they have done over the years. looking back I couldn't ask for better parents then them! thanks Mom and Dad! I love you!
last but not least are these jolly fellows...they just make me chuckle!

phase 1
Monica took these next two. another budding photographer.... ;)
phase 2 completed!
the color was supposed to be more tan-ish but hey, for free, I won't complain! :) I planted some perennials and have yet to get some colorful annuals to fill the flower-beds. Kevin and I are falling in love with our little abode more and more! he built me a little patio out the back with old concrete slabs now we can sit out and roast s'mores...
Blessing to all! Shana
