The proving of GOD's abundant provision....

the Word of GOD will help you make right choices:
it will heal your wounds and settle your heart:
it will warn of danger: it will protect and cleanse from sin:
it will lead you: it will make you wise.
It is bread: it is water: it is a counselor: it is LIFE.

Our KING loves us,
He has chosen us,
He delights in us, and, inexplicably,
He has determined to accomplish His purpose on earth
in union with the prayers of His people.

The past winter months have been ones of questions and emotional ups and downs yet I have seen over and over the hand of GOD guiding and holding onto ours...most have been practical demonstrations yet they worked a deeper confidence and trust in GOD's love for me and His absolute ability to care for even me, in the smallest areas.

Kevin's job as a mechanic on small engines and lawn equipment is obviously a seasonal job...winters just don't bring in income as who needs a lawn mower repaired. :) His dad started the business over 30 yrs ago and raised their entire family on the income with the help of side jobs like lawn care and raising veal. They always had enough but no extra....
Since Kevin stepped in and is trying to push the business forward and raise the value of the company things have drastically improved but the winter still hit us with bills to pay, no cash to pay them, and especially difficult for us as a couple, no money for our own income and costs. Kevin did do quite a bit of trucking again and that supplied our needs but as everyone knows, it is no fun knowing there might not be money for bills. It had gotten pretty bad at the shop and I believe we owed approx. $5,000 in bills needing to paid immediately and there was absolutely nothing there...they were talking of pulling a loan to tie us over till spring. Where do you go? what do you do? this was weighing Kevin down and stress levels were running high...one evening we were talking about it and the suggestion came up, "Why don't we pray about it." So we did...the next morning he left for work and the day progressed as usual...until he got home from work...."Honey, I sold a mower today!" and, let me clarify, this wasn't in Nov. or maybe Feb. this was in the dead of Dec. right before Christmas. Who buys a lawn mower with a ft of snow on the ground? GOD can usually find someone willing, right? :) the purchase of that lawn mower paid our bills and made the necessity of a bank loan diminish...we made it thru the winter okay....

Who says GOD doesn't care about the little things?

With Marshmellow's arrival in 2 months, you mothers will know what all it takes to supply a little one, :) we have been trying to get everything we NEED without seeing the bottom of our pocketbooks.... :) Garage sales have been an absolute blessing!! I know the LORD is supplying our needs but am still amazed at times....just the other week I was shopping with Mom and the sistas in Ohio and found most of the big items I was missing like a bath tub, diaper pail, crib bumper, car seat and clothes...out of curiosity I added up what I spent and compared to what it would have cost new and found a savings of $115! bout blew my mind...last night we purchased a changing table/dresser off craigslist so we're down to only needing a rocking chair and that, I believe, we shall splurge on and buy new as it'll have to last us quite a few yrs.... :) I did splurge on a diaper bag as well.... ;) I'm not into the whole baby looking bags for my hubby to lug around so I found a really nice, stylish one on amazon and thought the extra $10 would be worth it..plus it came with a changing pad, insulated bottle bag, and 3 small organizer bags....

A few wks ago I spent a day shopping and stocking our empty pantry...we have been in need of more towels/washcloths, for when company arrives we run out and with Marshmellow, I am expecting LOTS of company.... ;) *ahem* so while standing in walmart trying to decide whats the best and cheapest option I grabbed what was there and was happy with the price so headed to the next aisle...only to discover a small rack of clearance products, including my white towels, for a much better price...I think I was giggling with glee as I exchanged items.... :)

If GOD is for us, who can be against us?
even in simple things like towels and baby products.... :)

So this post is merely a simple expression of what's been on my mind....sorry there's no pictures. :)
Oh, I did FINALLY finish the baby quilt I was piecing and next week hopefully will see the conclusion of the butterfly mobile...after that its painting and painting....amidst being host family for Sunday lunch, secretarial work that has been taking a back seat, sadly, garden to protect from the evil bunny and groundhog, family reunions to attend, photography, wedding, cookouts, and the ever-always housework.....hello summer! :) Blessings!
